Congratulations! You have arrived at one of the largest and most active Experimental Aircraft Association chapters in the southeastern USA. We're also #2 in total Young Eagles flights!
EAA1114 offers something for every aviation interest in central North Carolina: homebuilding, vintage, warbirds, ultralights, fly-ins, fly-outs, workshops, aviation history and good old hangar flying.
♦ Have you dreamed of learning to fly but were never able to make it happen? We're looking into adopting the EAA Flying Start program to help you make this dream come true. We will connect you with an instructor and supportive team, and shepherd you through the entire process. If that sounds like something of interest, drop us a note and let us know!
*New* ♦ If you missed the drive/fly-out to NC Transportation Museum in Spencer, NC to see the DC-3 restoration, you missed a fun trip. You can see some photos here.♦ If you missed the "homecoming" picnic, it was quite an event in spite of the rain. We collected photos from a number of folks here. Just click through the folders to see the photos.
♦ Tell us what you think! Did you like the last meeting topic, or prefer to see something different? Or have any other suggestion to improve the Chapter?? Click here to send us a virtual comment card and tell us what you think.
♦ Visit our Cafe Press site and get a new coffee mug or T-shirt!
EAA Chapter 1114 has one of the world's leading Young Eagles programs. We are currently number 2 out of all Chapters, with over 16,200 kids flown! We have numerous nationally recognized coordinators and volunteers. For details on upcoming rallies, see our YOUNG EAGLES page.
Many chapter builders are also members of the Bear Creek Aero Club, where aircraft are constructed and flown by Club members.
